Obituary of Harley Preston Macon

Harley P. Macon, 89, passed away on Friday March 1, 2019 at Cranbury Center in Monroe Twp.  Harley was born and raised in Pensacola, FL and lived in various places up and down the east coast before moving to Monroe Twp. in 2003 to be close to his children.  He attended the University of Florida, graduating with two Bachelors degrees, one in Industrial Engineering and one in Mechanical Engineering. He was a certified professional engineer in the state of New Jersey for many years and owned his own computer consulting and reselling business which he started in Florida.  Harley loved music and dancing, movies, photography, fishing, reading and traveling. 

Harley was preceded in death by his half sister, Eleanor Dolores Pryor.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Darlene Macon of Monroe Twp., his daughter, Natalie Macon, Ph.D. of Basking Ridge, his son, Preston Macon and his wife Joanne of Ridgewood and two grandchildren: Alexander Harley Macon and Gianna Sophia Macon. 

Visitation will be 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday March 4, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. – 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  Funeral services will begin at 11:30am on Tuesday March 5, 2019 from the funeral home.  Committal services will be 12:30pm at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery – Wrightstown.
