Ruth Scannepico of Monroe Twp. passed away on Wednesday February 13, 2019 at the Gardens @ Monroe.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn and moved to Old Bridge in 1974 where she lived until moving to Monroe Twp. 15 years ago.  Ruth's profession was a legal stenographer in New York City until she retired at the age of 65. She was an elegant and stylish woman with a great sense of humor.  Dancing was her passion.  Above all she was a devoted and beloved mother and friend who touched the lives of many people.  

She is survived by her son, Richard Nash and his wife, Shelley of Carteret, her daughter, Karen Walker and her husband Paul of Hamilton Square, her brother Arthur Whitehorn and his wife Doris of Short Hills, and her niece Paula and nephew Steven.   

Visitation will be 11am-12pm on Friday February 15, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ  08831.  A funeral service will begin at 12pm at the conclusion of the visiting hour.  Interment will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery - Woodbridge.
