Joan A. Genther passed away on Wednesday February 6, 2019 at her home in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. She was 77 years old. Ms. Genther was born in New York City and resided most of her life in Staten Island, NY. She has lived in Rossmoor, Monroe Twp. since 2012. She was a Judicial Secretary for the Brooklyn Supreme Court for over 25 years before her retirement in 2011. She was an avid reader and loved desserts.
She is survived by her son, Adam Genther and his wife, Gina of Monroe Twp., her sister, Gail Riggio and her husband James, two grandsons, Dylan, and Devin, one niece, Erin McDaniel, one nephew, Jason Borlinghaus, and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Friday February 8, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Saturday February 9, 2019 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:30am on Saturday at St. James the Less RC Church, 36 Lincoln Ave. Jamesburg, NJ 08831. Cremation is private.
