Obituary of Edmund Joseph Falconieri

Edmund Joseph Falconieri - Monroe Township, NJ Edmund Joseph Falconieri, 91, died on Thursday January 3, 2019 at the Ashbrook Care and Rehab Center in Scotch Plains, NJ. Edmund was born, raised and resided in Brooklyn, NY for most of his life; he has resided in Greenbriar at Whittingham - Monroe Township, NJ for the past twenty years. Edmund proudly served his country in the Unites States Army during the Korean War. He retired as a supervisor from the M.T.A after a long career, enjoyed playing bocce ball and was a member of the American Legion. Edmund is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Falconieri and his daughter-in-law, Constance Falconieri. Edmund is survived by his loving wife of sixty eight years, Josephine (Santoro) Falconieri of Monroe Twp., NJ, two sons; Anthony Falconieri of Long Island, NY, John Falconieri and his wife Jacqueline of Scotch Plains, NJ, daughter, Maria Falconieri Needham of Staten Island, sister, Josephine Donzella of Swedesboro, NJ, four granddaughters; Alexandra, Nicole, Claudia and Deana. Also surviving are many extended family members. Visitation will be 2-4pm & 7-9pm on Sunday January 6, 2019 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc. - 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 - 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Monday January 7, 2019 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10am on Monday at St. James the Less RC Church - 36 Lincoln Ave - Jamesburg, NJ - 08831 followed by entombment in Pinelawn Memorial Park - 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
