Obituary of Ferdinand R. Pabst

Ferdinand R. Pabst passed away on Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 89 years old. Mr. Pabst was born in South Amboy and raised in Woodridge. He lived in Wayne for 30 years before moving to Clearbrook, Monroe Twp. in 1987. He received his Associate’s Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and furthered his education earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Newark College of Engineering. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military involvement, he began his career and worked as a sales engineer for Engelhard Industries in Iselin for 32 years before his retirement in 1987. Ferdinand was an avid tennis player, golfer, handyman, and enjoyed travelling all over the world. He especially cherished the time spent with his family and friends. He was a member of the BPOE Lodge 2181 in Wayne and also a member of the Clearbrook Computer Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Camille (Pesile) Pabst of Clearbrook, Monroe Twp., four children, Paula Mecke and her husband Jim of Hayden, ID, Robert Pabst and his wife Diane of Branchburg, Neal Pabst and his wife Karen of Wayne, and Nancy Gilmore of Haskell, one brother, Donald Pabst and his wife Audrey of Wanaque, six grandchildren, Tyler, Emily, Paige, Luke, Corey, and Jordan, and many other extended family members. Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:15am on Friday, December 28, 2018 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:00am on Friday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, Monroe Twp., followed by Interment in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
