Obituary of Philip D'Amico

Philip D’Amico passed away on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Parker at Somerset. He was 84 years old. Mr. D’Amico was born in San Francisco, CA. He moved to Brooklyn when he was three years old and resided there for 60 years. He later lived in the Douglaston section of Queens for 20 years before moving to North Brunswick in 2016. He was a lithographer and worked for Color Litho in New York City until his retirement in 1996. After retirement he worked for Star Delta Electric in New York City for 15 years. He enjoyed playing cards and was a member of a men’s card club in Brooklyn for many years. He was pre-deceased by his beloved first wife, Jean (DeStefano) D’Amico in 1993. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Pierrette Dejean of Staten Island, NY, his three sons, Steven D’Amico and his wife Dorothy of Helmetta, Randy D’Amico and his wife Michele of North Brunswick, and Ronald D’Amico and his husband Salvatore LaSpada of New York City, NY, two siblings, Lillian Scianna of Deer Park, LI, NY, and Angelo D’Amico of Brandon, FL, 6 grandchildren, Susan Finamore and her husband Joseph, Philip D’Amico and his wife Kathryn, Jacquelyn Jeganathan and her husband Gajan, Nicole Bonura and her husband Stephen, Amanda D’Amico, and Dayna D’Amico and her fiancée Brian Fernandes, five great grandchildren, John, Christian, Sean, Nico, and Natalie, and one great great grandson, Jayden, and many other extended family members and friends. Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, Inc., 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Funeral services will begin at 9:45am on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from the funeral home. A funeral liturgy will be 10:15am on Thursday at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Spotswood, NJ. Interment will follow in Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
