Obituary of Theresa Parnese

Theresa (Alfieri) Parnese passed away on Saturday September 8, 2018 at The Gardens @ Monroe.  She was 97 years old.  Mrs. Parnese was born and raised in New York City.  She lived most of her life in the Dyker Heights section of Brooklyn and has resided in Monroe Twp. since 2012.  She was a homemaker and loved being home and cooking for her family.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Salvatore Parnese in 2012, her daughter, Irene Parnese in 1998, and her brother, Joseph Alfieri in 2002.

She is survived by her son, Raymond Parnese and his wife Rose Mary of Stonebridge, Monroe Twp., her brother, Anthony Alfieri and his wife Ida of Lakewood, four grandchildren, John Parnese and his wife Vera, Theresa Brown and her husband Chris, Salene Parnese, and Ted Parnese and his wife Deana, six great grandchildren, Sal, Shane, Harrison, Ryan, Victoria, and Leila, and many other extended family members.

Visitation will be from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday September 10, 2018 and from 8:15am to 8:45am on Tuesday September 11, 2018 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831.  Funeral services will begin at 8:45am on Tuesday September 11, 2018 from the funeral home.  A funeral liturgy will be 9:30am on Tuesday at Nativity of Our Lord RC Church, 185 Applegarth Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831 followed by Entombment in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
